Sheila Marquez Brooklyn Apartment

Spanish model Sheila Marquez' loft in Williamsburg was feature on Spain's edition of Harper's Bazaar last year. Sheila has great personal style, very "model off-duty" she favors Givenchy, Balmain and Isabel Marant, leather, boots, and denim. Her style translates really well to her decor at home. Very down town chic. I love the sense of space and the modern pieces, with a touch of Rock & Roll.

Diet Coke By Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld has designed three new Diet Coke bottles (poictured above). We know Karl loves himself a Diet Coke, and so do we! especially when the bottles look tres, tres chic! This is the second collaboration of Lagerfeld with diet coke, below I included a pic of the first bottle he designed plus the campaign shot and styled by him as well with Coco Rocha and Baptiste Giabiconi. The new special edition Diet Cokes bottles will be sold in special stores (like Colette and Galleries Lafayette in Paris) beginning June 2011.

The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of Jose Gonzalez- Documentary

The Extraordinary Ordinary life of Jose Gonzalez is a new documentary about Swedish folk singer-song writer  Jose Gonzalez (His parents are Argentinian) who is well known for his indie-pop and intimate acoustics. He has collaborated with bands Zero 7 and Junip. And has covered songs like "Heartbeats" from The Knife, "Love will tear us apart" by Joy Division and "Teardrop" by Massive Attack taking these songs and re-creating them in a completely different style. The film was shot in over three years and it highlights the creative process of the making of his second album "In our Nature" using video diary, concert footage and animations. The documentary is currently showing in festivals around Europe.
Director Karisson says: “There is something absurd, fascinating and beautiful in our attempts to find meaning in our existence. With The Extraordinary ordinary life of José González, we wanted to give form to the personal artistic process. Carine Roitfeld to Style campaign and windows for Barneys

Carine Roitfeld by Hedi Slimane

According to WWD (Women Wear Daily) new Barneys CEO Mark Lee has hired ex-French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld to style catalogues and work on some window displays for the Barneys New York flagship store. This is the first official job for Roitfeld after her departure from French Vogue. I can't wait to see what Carine's vision and great eye for styling do for Barneys and how this translates into window displays ( out in september)

“Each day it’s changing,” Roitfeld said of the rumors. “One day I am going to Dior with Riccardo Tisci, the next day I am going to Saint Laurent with Hedi Slimane. I don’t think it’s very nice for the designer at Saint Laurent, and it’s just rumors. What I know is that I now have my freedom and I will keep my freedom forever. I am very excited to have this freedom and to have projects like the one at Barneys.” -She told  WWD

Vanessa Traina's West Village Apartment

Last November 2010 Harpers Bazaar featured Vanessa Traina's super chic apartment in New York City's West Village. My recent post about her capsule collection for Maje inspired me to share this images.
This article proves that, not only does she have great personal style, but also great taste for decor and interiors. Her apartment is very eclectic, mixing modern pieces with luxury accessories and extravagant details.
I must admit I share her love for taxidermy( I die for that zebra), photo collages and hermes ashtrays.(swoon)
