The exhibit "Art in the Streets" at the MOCA ( Museum of Contemporary Art) in Los Angeles documents  the development of street art and graffiti, since its beginnings in the 70s to the major global movement it is today. The show will focused on cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Sao Paulo, where them ovement has particularly evolved. The exhibit will feature, paintings, mixed media sculptures,  archival photos and 36 installations by today's best known Graffiteurs. ( j'adore!)
The exhibition opens April 17 at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, 152 N. Central Ave.; visit moca.org for more info.
Good news for us New Yorkers, the exhibition will travel to the Brooklyn Museum where it will be on view from March 30 - July 8, 2012.
