Paris at Night in 2000 images

This video is a project by Luke Shepard, a student at the American University of Paris. It shows Paris "City of Lights" by night, created by animation motion, composed by over 2000 in photographs in time-lapse manner. I'm completely mesmerized by it. The view of the city by night, free of tourist, and with fewer cars, really captures its pure essence. And the music by "The XX" sets the perfect mood.
Check out this interview with Shepard for The National Geografic Blog

"And we, we live half in the day time and we,
we live half at night... "
-The xx

"Paris in the middle of the night is beautiful and not something that is often witnessed. One of my favorite things to do in Paris is go on bike rides around the city late at night because there are very few cars and people. It gives me a feeling as though the city is mine..." -Luke Shepard
